Experience

Professional Experience

Over eleven years supporting university engineering laboratories in teaching and research.

  1. Laboratory Assistant

    Dhaka, Bangladesh

    • July 2014 – June 2024

      University of Asia Pacific

    • March 2013 – July 2014

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology

      Undertaken alongside evening B.Sc. studies

    Key responsibilities

    • Directed day-to-day laboratory activities, keeping equipment, workspaces and practical setups prepared, organised and safe.
    • Set up, configured, calibrated and tested laboratory equipment and measurement systems for teaching and research.
    • Performed measurements and diagnostics, investigated technical problems and implemented practical solutions.
    • Provided technical support to professors and external researchers during experimental work.
    • Supported students and researchers with experiments, project work and equipment use.
    • Helped establish a new Power System Protection Laboratory — equipment setup, calibration, workflow development and student training.
    • Maintained equipment inventory and service records; coordinated maintenance with external service providers.
    • Supported procurement: defined technical requirements, evaluated options, requested quotations and coordinated installation.
    • Supported laboratory IT infrastructure — system configuration, software installation, user support and troubleshooting.
  2. February 2011 – March 2011

    Industrial Trainee — Substation Operations

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) · Rajshahi, Bangladesh

Part of the Diploma programme · 132/33 kV substation
